At the end of her senior season, Brooke was recognized for her accomplishments when she was awarded the 2002 Patty Kazmaier award, which is handed out to the best women’s collegiate hockey player in the country. After completing her collegiate eligibility, she went on to play two seasons (Brampton and Vancouver) in the women’s professional hockey league (NWHL). In June 2003 Brooke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She then went on to coach Division 1 women’s ice hockey at the University of Connecticut and Boston College, while working towards her Master of Arts degree in Sports Management, which she completed this past August. Brooke’s career goals are to continue coaching, operate her own business, and work within athletic administration, or for a professional sports organization.
